Background

2005

This year I have been mainly doing Commentary for Swedish Match and the America's Cup. Sailing has included a sucessful season with a new project with a new owner on the Swan 45 Nemo where we finished 3rd at the Swan Europeans and look forward to an even busier schedule in 2006 culminating in the Swan Europeans in Sardinia. I am also looking forward to the Melges Worlds in Key Largo in December 2006

2004

A frantic two years with GBR Challenge has been replaced by a no less exciting but more varied schedule for Andy and the team. Match Racing is still the focus for competitive sailing and the team will attend at least six events starting in Lake Garda on 1st May and ending with the Grade 1 Bermuda Gold Cup in October. The primary focus is to get back into the Top 10 in the World Rankings by the end of next year. This will include an assault on the Swedish Match Series 2004.

The team are actively looking for funding for their campaign and hope to announce a partner shortly. If you are interested in being involved please look at the Sponsorship page for details. It outlines the support, publicity, teambuilding, corporate dinner speaking and racing with clients and company that the team can offer.

Jim Turner, Chris Main, Mal Parker and Andy Green are all members of British Racing Green. You can read more about them in the Profiles page. The team are not only match racing but pursuing other competitive avenues in Farr 40’s, Dinghy’s and Race Boats to keep their skills absolutely current.
